Danut Eremenco, MGT: “People can become the biggest barrier to digital transformation”

    Published on

“Security is one of the challenges we face in our activity. It is very important that leaders, top managers and shareholders change their expectations. We all need to change our expectations. Each generation comes with different expectations, different psychological profile, different needs,” Danut Eremenco, Director of Strategic Business Development, MGT said during Workplace of the Future conference organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“There is a vulnerability that we have found in several companies that have allowed employees a greater degree of flexibility in using work equipment for personal purposes or using personal equipment for work purposes. There are some security breaches here because the managers failed to limit these things which constitute a very big challenge.

Managers must find a bridge, a connection, a balance between the needs of employees and the needs of companies. Companies need productivity, security, but employees need this flexibility. We all have to change our expectations because we are in an unprecedented technological evolution. It is no longer enough to provide only technical training for employees, to prepare them for new technologies, but we need a change in mindset.

There is a great resistance to change on the part of companies, and people can become the biggest barrier to digital transformation. If we fail to invest in radical mindset change programs, we will have problems.

The success of implementing a technical solution is measured by the employee’s need for support. The technology must be transparent, but ensure the security we need.”
