Cluj-Napoca will host the fourth edition of the Cybersecurity in Energy Forum on 29–30 October 2026. Organized by Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), the annual event brings together representatives from the energy sector, the IT industry, public authorities, academia, and companies specializing in cybersecurity.
Now in its fourth edition, the Cybersecurity in Energy Forum has established itself as one of Romania’s leading platforms for dialogue and the exchange of best practices on the protection of critical energy infrastructure and the strengthening of the energy sector’s cyber resilience.
At a time when the rapid digitalization of power grids, the development of smart technologies, and the integration of new digital solutions are fundamentally transforming the operation of energy infrastructure, cybersecurity has become an essential prerequisite for the safe and continuous functioning of the energy system.
Over the course of the two-day event, participants will have the opportunity to attend conferences, technical sessions, and panel discussions addressing the most significant challenges and emerging trends in the field. The agenda will cover topics such as the protection of critical infrastructure, cybersecurity incident management, new European and national legislative requirements, the use of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, and the development of strong partnerships between energy operators, public authorities, and the technology industry.
The forum will also provide a dedicated platform for showcasing the latest cybersecurity solutions and technologies developed by specialized companies, facilitating the exchange of expertise and the identification of common approaches to strengthening the resilience of the energy sector.
