Eturia exceeds 20 million euros in sales in the first half of the year, tourist numbers up by nearly 29 percent

    Published on

Eturia Group closed the first six months of the year with sales exceeding 20 million euros, up approximately 7 percent compared with the same period in 2025.

In the first half of the year, approximately 10,500 tourists travelled with Eturia, nearly 29 percent more than during the same period of the previous year. The destinations recording the highest demand included the Maldives, China, Australia, the Dominican Republic and Thailand.

“The growth recorded during the first six months confirms that Eturia is developing on solid foundations and that our model, built around specialised consultancy and destination expertise, meets the current expectations of travellers. We remain focused on strengthening our portfolio, developing the premium segment and expanding the range of products that offer clients greater flexibility, predictability and access to carefully selected experiences,” said Sorin Stoica, CEO and Founder of Eturia.

The Maldives continues to be one of the preferred choices for premium holidays, relaxation and personalised services, while Thailand maintains its appeal through its varied offering of beaches, cultural experiences, gastronomy and itineraries adapted to different types of travellers.

At the same time, China and Australia highlight the growing interest in destinations that require more extensive planning and offer cultural and exploration-based experiences. The Dominican Republic completes the list of preferred destinations, being chosen primarily for exotic stays and premium services.

The diversity of selected destinations shows that travellers’ preferences are expanding beyond traditional relaxation holidays. An increasing number of requests are focused on holidays that include local experiences, exploration and activities adapted to each traveller’s individual style.

Data from the first part of the year indicates a diversification in the way Romanians choose their holidays. Alongside established exotic stays, interest is increasing in complex tours, long-haul travel and premium or luxury products.

An increasingly visible trend is the preference for holidays developed around personal interests and objectives. Wellbeing, adventure, culture and exploration are becoming important criteria in the decision-making process, while the destination itself represents only the starting point in building the itinerary.

Travellers are looking for programmes adapted to their own pace and travel style, ranging from relaxing stays and active routes to cultural experiences and in-depth exploration of a region. In this context, personalisation and specialised consultancy are playing an increasingly important role in the holiday selection process.
