The Tinmar Foundation and the Ciprian Marica Foundation announce the launch of the “Champions of the Future” project, a joint initiative that aims to provide children and young people with access to organized sports activities, development opportunities and support for further training in a competitive and educational environment.

The project is built around the belief that sport is one of the most effective tools for character formation, contributing to the development of discipline, responsibility, team spirit and confidence in one’s own strengths.

During each year, sports competitions and activities dedicated to children are organized within the project, through which young people with skills and interest in practicing sports are identified. The activities bring together children, parents, coaches and mentors, promoting family involvement and the importance of an active lifestyle.

The beneficiaries of the project are both children who train at the Ciprian Marica Football Academy, and children from outside the academy who participate in the competitions and activities organized by the foundation and who demonstrate sporting potential.

An important moment of the project is the organization, every December, of the “Champions of the Future” Humanitarian Gala, an event that brings together about 300 children and during which the performances obtained in several sports disciplines, such as football, tennis, padel and basketball are recognized.

During the Gala, a scholarship worth 5,000 euros is awarded annually, intended for a child who will benefit, for one year, from sports training at the Ciprian Marica Football Academy.

Throughout the year, the project also benefits from the direct involvement of mentors Ilie Năstase and Ciprian Marica, who participate in events dedicated to children and promote the values of performance, education and fair play.

Ciprian Marica, Founder, Ciprian Marica Foundation: “I had the chance for football to change my life and I know how important it is for a talented child to meet the right people at the right time. With “Champions of the Future” we want to offer children more than just access to sport. We want to give them confidence, role models and the opportunity to grow in an environment where work, discipline and respect are as important as the results on the ground. I am convinced that investing in children is the most valuable investment we can make for the future of society.”

Ioan Bratu, President, Tinmar Foundation: “At the Tinmar Foundation, we believe that social responsibility means constant involvement in projects that produce long-term effects in the community. Champions of the Future» is a project that offers children the opportunity to discover sport, to capitalize on their potential and to learn values that will accompany them throughout their lives. We are glad to be with the Ciprian Marica Foundation in a partnership built around education through sport and supporting the new generations.”

Through this partnership, the two foundations aim to contribute to the development of a framework in which children benefit from real opportunities for development through sport, are encouraged to discover their potential and build their future in an environment based on perseverance, respect and performance.
