• Strengthening STRABAG’s regional footprint in Eastern Romania through additional execution capacity and local expertise

STRABAG SE has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of DAROCONSTRUCT SRL, a Romanian construction company headquartered in Iași. With this transaction, the Group continues its growth strategy in Romania and further strengthens its position in one of the most important construction markets in South-Eastern Europe.

Founded in 2005, DAROCONSTRUCT has developed into an established player in the Romanian construction market, with expertise in building construction, road infrastructure, bridges, and utility networks. In 2025, the company generated revenues of approximately RON 70 million and employed around 400 people. The company combines local market knowledge, technical expertise, and operational capacity to deliver a diverse portfolio of projects across Romania.

Through the planned acquisition, STRABAG aims to further expand its execution capacity and regional footprint while leveraging DAROCONSTRUCT’s local market expertise and established client relationships.

Romania continues to be one of STRABAG’s key growth markets in South-Eastern Europe. Significant investments in transport infrastructure, urban development, and projects supported by European funding programs continue to create attractive long-term opportunities for the construction sector.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the usual regulatory approvals. Closing is expected in the second half of 2026.
