    Polytrade Global, through its group company RORD Dynamics, patents the innovative “Wings Solar Tracker” technology in the renewable energy sector

    Published on

    Polytrade Global, a Romanian entrepreneurial group specializing in energy infrastructure, the supply of electrical equipment, and the implementation of renewable energy projects, has filed a patent application for the Wings Solar Tracker technology, developed by its research and development division, RORD Dynamics.

    The “Wings Solar Tracker” is a new technology that optimizes solar energy capture, reduces installation time and maintenance costs, and provides enhanced resistance to extreme weather conditions such as storms and hail. The solution is designed to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy solutions and reinforces the Group’s position as a leader in technological innovation.

    Gabriel Merlușcă, Co-founder and CEO of Polytrade Global:

    “The patent application marks a new milestone in Polytrade Global’s strategy to develop proprietary technologies and expand our research and innovation activities, alongside the Group’s four core business areas: EPC, electrical equipment distribution, independent power production, and manufacturing. This innovation represents a major technological advancement in optimizing the performance of photovoltaic parks by providing an advanced solution for the dynamic orientation of solar panels. In the coming period, we will focus on the commercial validation of the technology through pilot projects, continue the technical validation process together with industry partners, and initiate discussions with developers, manufacturers, and investors interested in producing and deploying the technology at an industrial scale. Our objective is for the Wings Solar Tracker, developed in Romania, to become a technology adopted in projects worldwide and to contribute to improving the efficiency of renewable energy investments.”

    The Wings Solar Tracker technology is the result of an extensive research and development program carried out over more than two years. The solution required more than 1,000 hours of engineering design, testing, and validation, and was developed by a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists with expertise in mechanical engineering, energy systems, and product development.

    “We want to demonstrate that small, highly capable teams can build and innovate even without external funding or the support of a mature business ecosystem. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our extended team, as well as the people who played a key role in bringing this project to life, Tiberiu Merlușcă, George Negrea, Radu Racariu, Robert Topala, and Daniel Farmer. They are exceptional professionals who work tirelessly every day to help us achieve our goals and bring our vision for the Group to life, a vision that is anything but modest. As Richard Branson once said, ‘If your dreams don’t scare you, they are too small,'” said Gabriel Merlușcă, Co-founder and CEO of Polytrade Global.

    The innovation introduced by RORD Dynamics through the Wings Solar Tracker stands out for its outstanding structural and mechanical performance. The system features dynamic East to West tracking, following the sun’s movement with fractional degree adjustments that maximize energy generation. It also incorporates a concave position relative to the sun at midday, designed to increase energy yield through reflected light on cloudy days, and a convex position for the protective “Stow” mode, which enhances resistance to extreme weather conditions, including strong winds and hail.

    To highlight the competitive advantages of its patented technology, RORD Dynamics points to the following key features:

    • Increased energy production;
    • Enhanced resistance to storms and extreme weather conditions;
    • Easier installation, helping reduce installation time and costs;
    • Lower operational risk over the system’s lifetime, thanks to a decentralized architecture for the moving components. This design prevents large strings of solar panels from becoming inoperable in the event of a single mechanical failure;
    • Reduced maintenance and operating costs.

    Against the backdrop of a global transition toward clean energy and the growing need for more efficient renewable energy infrastructure, RORD Dynamics, the engineering and technology development company within the Polytrade Global, announces the official registration of the patent for its Wings Solar Tracker technology.

    The development of the Wings Solar Tracker project was supported by a strong collaborative ecosystem, bringing together strategic partners with recognized expertise in the Romanian market. The intellectual property protection process and the securing of the invention’s rights were managed in partnership with Nomenius, a leading intellectual property firm specializing in trademarks and patents. The project’s market positioning strategy and brand communication were developed with the support of Ad Marketing, ensuring strong alignment with the expectations of B2B investors and industry stakeholders. The engineering concept was also translated into clear visual content through specialized technical videos produced by Treizero, helping communicate the technology’s operating principles in an engaging and accessible way.
