Eight localities in Sibiu, Timiș, Bacău and Cluj counties have been benefiting from access to the natural gas network since the first part of this year, following investments made by local authorities in partnership with Delgaz Grid, which supported these projects with the amount of 8.4 million lei.
The total length of the gas network in these localities, where Delgaz Grid has concessioned the distribution service, exceeds 110 km.
The largest investment aimed at establishing the natural gas distribution network in the Sibiu localities: Jina, Poiana Sibiului, Tilișca and Rod. This consisted of the construction of over 84 km of natural gas pipelines and connections and was carried out by the Transalpina Gaz Intercommunity Development Association, with European and government funds, and part of the investment was supported by Delgaz Grid.
Also this year, the new distribution networks in the following localities became functional: Rudicica, Timiș County, over 2 km long, Slobozia and Borzești, Bacău County, over 16 km long and Muncel, Cluj County, over 10 km long.
