    On May 5, 2026, Hitachi Energy, together with the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (CNR-CME), hosted the EconiQ Day Romania event in Bucharest. The event focused on innovation, sustainability, and compliance with the new European regulations on fluorinated gases (F-Gas), bringing together energy industry specialists, partners, and customers to explore the latest technologies designed to accelerate the transition toward cleaner and more efficient power systems.

    The main session addressed the impact of the F-Gas regulation on the energy industry, emphasizing the urgent need to adopt low-emission technologies. Moderated by Cristian Gheorghiu, the discussions highlighted how the EconiQ portfolio supports the reduction of the carbon footprint of energy infrastructure while contributing to European climate objectives.

    The program featured interactive technology tours and presentations delivered by the company’s international experts, showcasing state-of-the-art solutions for:

    • power transformers based on new sustainable technologies;
    • SF₆-free switching equipment, including circuit breakers, GIS, and hybrid modules for 110–400 kV applications;
    • voltage transformers capable of supplying auxiliary services for electrical substations;
    • service and maintenance solutions focused on decarbonization.

    Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with the showcased technologies and discuss their implementation in real projects across Romania and the wider region.
