Alesonor and STRABAG Romania launch construction works for Phase 2 of Amber Forest project near Bucharest

    Published on

Alesonor and STRABAG Romania have officially started construction works for Phase 2 of the Amber Forest residential project in Tunari, Ilfov County, near Bucharest. Developed across a 31-hectare site, with only 15% of the land built upon, the project has achieved LEED Platinum certification.

Amber Forest is designed as a fully integrated suburban community with modern infrastructure and extensive amenities, including sports and leisure areas, a school, kindergarten and afterschool programs (with official opening scheduled for September 2026), an open-air cinema, retail area, office hub, medical services, as well as parks and green spaces covering a total of 5.3 hectares.

To date, the development includes 690 green homes, of which 580 have already been sold, while approximately 300 units have been delivered. The total value of the project stands at 200 million euros.

During Phase 2, STRABAG Romania is building a new residential area comprising 172 homes, including 91 villas and 81 apartments with parking spaces, totaling more than 23,000 sqm of built area.

The overall development is being delivered in stages, in line with the project’s masterplan and the long-term vision for the Amber Forest community.

“The launch of construction works for Phase 2 of Amber Forest, together with STRABAG, marks the next step in a development already validated in practice, within a community where over 300 homes have already been delivered, most of them already occupied.
The partnership with STRABAG is essential for this stage, as it allows us to maintain the project’s technical standards and ensure that our commitments, including those related to LEED Platinum certification, are supported through rigorous execution, at the level of benchmark projects in the market,” said Leonidas Anastasopoulos, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Alesonor.

“The start of Amber Forest Phase 2 marks the beginning of our collaboration with Alesonor, a partner that has already demonstrated its ability to deliver solid projects. STRABAG’s role in this partnership is clear: to turn Alesonor’s vision into execution, under conditions of predictability, quality, and the right delivery pace,” said Bogdan Mărginean, Technical Subdivision Manager, STRABAG Romania.
