BCR Pensii appoints Cristian Pascu as CEO

    Published on

BCR Pensii announces the departure of Radu Crăciun from his role as President and CEO after a 10-year tenure marked by major contributions to Romania’s private pension system. Cristian Pascu, currently Head of the Financial Institutions Department at Banca Comercială Română, takes over leadership of the company.

“After an intense period of executive involvement, I believe this is the right time for this transition, where I can contribute in a different way but with the same conviction to the evolution of Romania’s business and investment environment. I thank my colleagues, a remarkable team, for standing by me in this vital sector for Romania—one that demands responsibility and a strategic investment perspective beyond economic cycles,” said Radu Crăciun.

Cristian Pascu will assume the CEO position. With over 25 years in banking and financial markets, focused on custody services infrastructure and relationships with local and foreign institutional investors, Pascu has played an active role in developing Romania’s capital market ecosystem through involvement in key professional and associative bodies, advancing industry standards and operations.

“The private pension system is an essential pillar for economic stability and people’s financial health. Our role is to deliver trust, security, and sustainable long-term performance. I take on this responsibility with respect for what has been built and the ambition to advance BCR Pensii’s mission alongside my colleagues,” said Cristian Pascu.
