Ascendia launches AI assistant for teachers in Romania, with support from Google

    Published on

Ascendia announces the launch of LIVRESQ Companion, an AI-powered pedagogical assistant designed to streamline the daily workload of educators across Romania. Developed with support from Google’s AI for GovTech Accelerator, this tool is experiencing rapid adoption. Through a newly signed partnership, LIVRESQ Companion will be rolled out to over 10,000 teachers in 800 Romanian schools in the coming months.

LIVRESQ Companion provides teachers with a simple and intuitive workspace from which they can make specific requests for lesson planning, activity proposals, worksheets, assessment tools, or content adaptations based on the level of the class. Instead of fragmented steps and a heavy volume of repetitive work, teachers now have access to digital support that responds quickly and in a structured way, in line with the Romanian national curriculum. The tool is available online, by invitation only.

“With LIVRESQ Companion, we are providing a reliable support tool for teachers, one that is tailored to the Romanian school curriculum. We developed this component to address a pressing need within schools: combating bureaucracy and administrative overload. Our goal is to turn hours lost to repetitive tasks into just a few minutes of efficient work, giving teachers back the time they need for what truly matters, the act of teaching itself and connecting with their pupils.” – Alex Mălureanu, Co-founder and CMO of Ascendia.

„Supporting Ascendia through our AI for GovTech program highlights Google’s commitment to fostering meaningful innovation that serves the public good. LIVRESQ Companion is an example of how artificial intelligence can support educators, reducing administrative burdens and allowing them to focus on inspiring their students. We are thrilled to see this technology reach over 10,000 Romanian teachers, demonstrating that local digital solutions can drive profound institutional change and create a lasting, positive impact on the national education system.” – Elisabeta Moraru, Regional Director Google CEE.
