bpv GRIGORESCU ȘTEFĂNICĂ advised Autonom International on insurance & FDI regulatory approvals and the completion of its investment in Eazy Asigurari

    Published on

bpv GRIGORESCU ȘTEFĂNICĂ assisted Autonom International (Autonom) throughout all legal and regulatory stages leading to the completion of the transaction through which the investment holding acquired a 20% ownership in Eazy Asigurari. Initiated with the signing of the agreement in March 2025, the transaction was formally completed following FDI clearance and the approval by the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), marking the group’s official entry into the shareholding structure of Eazy Asigurari.

Known for its extensive expertise in the automotive industry and its sustainable business model, the Autonom Group enters Eazy Insurance’s shareholding as a portfolio investor. While maintaining a non-executive role in the company’s management, the group will support Eazy Insurance’s growth by leveraging its significant know-how in the mobility and financial services sectors.

“The completion of Autonom Group’s investment in Eazy Insurance reaffirms our client’s commitment to fostering innovation within sectors complementary to mobility and financial services. We are honored to have guided this complex regulatory process and are grateful for the trust placed in our team to bring this strategic transaction to a successful close,” said Cătălin Grigorescu, Managing Partner at bpv GRIGORESCU ȘTEFĂNICĂ.

The project was led by Cătălin Grigorescu, Managing Partner and head of the transactions practice, supported by Anamaria Rotariu, Senior Associate and Angelina Dănăilă, Associate in the corporate transactions practice, alongside other specialized members of the firm.
