International investor Hagag Development Europe strengthens its operations in the energy sector and its local management structure, announcing the official appointment of Răzvan Pârvulescu as Business Development Director of the Natural Gas Division within Hagag Energy.

Răzvan Pârvulescu, who has been involved alongside the Hagag Energy team since the division’s formation stage, is officially assuming leadership of the Development and Expansion Department at a time when the company is rapidly broadening footprint in the natural gas distribution segment.

In this role, he will continue to coordinate the activities of the Development and Expansion Department, focusing on extending the concessions portfolio, defining and implementing the medium- and long-term development strategy for the Natural Gas Division, as well as developing new business lines relevant to this market segment.

“We are delighted to welcome Răzvan to the Hagag Energy team. His solid experience in developing and implementing natural gas projects represents a significant asset in strengthening and expanding our energy division. We are confident that, together with the entire team, Răzvan will help drive the acceleration of our development plans and further strengthen Hagag Energy’s position on the Romanian market.”, says Yitzhak Hagag, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hagag Development Europe.

In the first three months following the launch of Hagag Energy, his efforts focused on expanding the company’s concessions portfolio and accelerating ongoing projects. During this time, Hagag Energy has added five contracts covering the concession of the public natural gas distribution service, including design, construction, and operation of natural gas distribution networks. As a result, the company has reached a total of 72 contracts and nationwide presence spanning 95 communes and two cities across 18 counties in Romania.

“I am honored to join Hagag Energy and, in this capacity, to contribute to the development of Romania’s energy infrastructure, especially at a time when the market is undergoing a phase of accelerating growth, supported by infrastructure investments and the increasing interest of both central and local authorities in the further development of this critical segment. I also believe in the company’s potential to support the sustainable growth of the communities we serve, and I will leverage the full extent of my experience to build a solid operational foundation and maintain a sustained pace of development, positioning Hagag Energy as a benchmark player on the local energy market.”, said Răzvan Pârvulescu, Development Director of the Natural Gas Division at Hagag Energy.

In the medium and long term – and exclusively related to the Natural Gas Division, Hagag Energy’s development directions remain aligned with the dynamics of the “Anghel Saligny” National Investment Program, which supports the expansion of natural gas infrastructure, at the local level. One of the company’s main objectives is to successfully complete, by the end of 2027, all 69 gas distribution networks related to the concessions it holds.

Hagag Energy ranks among the top 20 out of the 27 licensed operators nationwide, with a total volume of 72 active contracts, positioning itself as one of the relevant players in Romania within this market segment. Currently, the company has 3 networks completed and fully operational, 21 projects in the design phase, 23 in execution, and a further 25 in different stages of permitting and approval.
