    UNIQA Asigurari de Viata appoints Florin Barbu as a member of the Management Board

    Starting November 2025, Florin Barbu will assume the role of a member of the Management Board at UNIQA Asigurari de Viata. With over 20 years of experience in digital strategies and executive management, Florin Barbu brings valuable expertise in digitalization, organizational transformation, and process optimization, representing a key element in the sustainable development and growth of UNIQA’s operations.

    Florin Barbu built his career by implementing complex IT projects in the financial services field, such as developing Internet/Mobile Banking services, agile transformation, and strengthening information security. He joined the UNIQA team in 2016 as IT Director, and prior to his new position on the Management Board of UNIQA Asigurari de Viata, he held the role of Digital Transformation Senior Leader for the UNIQA SEE region, coordinating initiatives at the regional level and ensuring alignment of teams and business models with the company’s digital objectives.

    Florin Barbu said: “I am honored to take on this new role within the management team and to contribute to strengthening UNIQA’s position as a leader in insurance and digital transformation. My priority is to accelerate the implementation of digital solutions that improve customer experience and optimize internal processes, thus supporting the sustainable growth of the company.”
