PROMELEK XXI appoints Remus Hațegan as General Manager

    Published on

PROMELEK XXI, one of the main players in the local electrical equipment market and part of the Spanish Elektra Group, announces that, starting July 1, 2025, Remus Hațegan has taken over the role of General Manager, after previously serving as Executive Director.

“This change reflects a natural stage in the evolution of PROMELEK XXI. I am confident that Remus, a leader who has consistently demonstrated professionalism, balance, and commitment to our values, will lead the company with vision and coherence. The transition takes place under conditions of stability and continuity and does not involve operational changes in the company’s current activity,” said Károly Nagy, founder and former General Manager of Promelek.

In the new structure, Károly Nagy will remain actively involved in the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors and legal representative. From this position, he will continue to support the company’s strategic directions and guiding values. At the same time, he retains his role as General Manager of the PROMELEK Group, which also includes other companies with a strong tradition in the field.

“I am honored to take on this role at a time when Promelek XXI is on a solid path of growth and maturity. I am proud to be part of a dedicated team that values excellence, partnership, and adaptability. Together, we will continue to build with confidence, to innovate, and to stay close to the real needs of the market,” said Remus Hațegan, the new General Manager of Promelek XXI.

As for the strategic directions for the coming period, Remus Hațegan emphasizes that the focus will be on team development, strengthening the company’s main pillars—its divisions and strategic brands—as well as reinforcing commercial partnerships. In addition, the company aims to raise its service standards, adapting dynamically to current market conditions, while expanding into future-oriented areas such as energy efficiency, infrastructure, power quality, and digitalization.

“Romania continues to offer opportunities, and professional services will make the difference in a market that is constantly maturing. We aim to continue increasing our market share by expanding engineering services, especially in electrical panel manufacturing segment with major potential. At the same time, we anticipate above-average growth in digitalization, with a direct impact on adjacent developments: from data centers and critical infrastructure to rising electricity demand and modern power supply solutions,” added Remus Hațegan.

According to him, the main investment for the upcoming period will be directed toward people: the expansion of the sales, technical, production, logistics, and support teams is already underway, with more than 15 open positions currently available. In parallel, PROMELEK XXI is preparing a series of significant investments in production technology in its own workshop and in the automation of logistics flows in the central warehouse.
