    Clifford Chance strengthens Litigation practice with addition of Remus Codreanu as Partner in its Bucharest team

    Clifford Chance Badea, the local office of global law firm Clifford Chance, continues to expand its senior team by adding Remus Codreanu as Partner in its Litigation practice (L&D), which includes the areas of White Collar and Strategic Risk Management, Arbitration, and Commercial Litigation.

    Remus has a more than 21-years of experience in managing complex, cross-border or innovative mandates, having represented Romanian and international companies on various matters in areas such as commercial and labor disputes, criminal investigations, public and administrative law, including public procurement and antitrust, intellectual property, insolvency, and media law.

    International directory Legal 500 acknowledges Remus Codreanu as Leading Partner in Dispute Resolution, for strategic approach, agility, and ability to manage cases with major impact on clients’ businesses. Throughout his career, he has advised and represented companies in industries such as energy, constructions, retail, agribusiness, pharma & healthcare, IT, gaming & gambling, and media.

    Remus Codreanu holds a Masters’ degree in Postgraduate civil law studies and has a PhD on IP infringements.

    Clifford Chance Badea currently has representation mandates with a cumulative value of approximately EUR 1 billion, representing clients from dynamic industries such as Energy, Mining and Natural Resources, Construction, Infrastructure, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, Trading, Banking and Insurance.

    Its portfolio reflects a balanced ratio between cross-border and domestic projects, as well as classical court files versus risk management disputes, white-collar crime and investigations.

    The Clifford Chance Badea litigation team consists of 14 lawyers, seven of which are senior lawyers (partners și counsels) with significant multi-jurisdictional experience. Projects are coordinated by a core team including Managing Partner Daniel Badea, Partner Radu Ropotă, and Counsels Sabina Crângașu (Huțanu), Cristian Valeriu Radu, Vicu Buzac, and Alexandru Viespe.
