    • The company expands its renewable footprint with three major wind projects – Frumușița, Vector, and Pecineaga Northeast
    • The projects total 138 MW and are equipped with 23 state-of-the-art Vestas turbines

Eurowind Energy, developer and operator of renewable energy projects, strengthens its position in Romania with the development of three new wind parks: Frumușița, Vector, and Pecineaga Northeast. Together, the projects will add 138 MW of clean energy capacity to the grid. The company has signed a turbine supply agreement with Vestas for the delivery of 23 V162-6.2 MW turbines from its EnVentus platform.

The turbines will be delivered in the second half of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for 2027. The long-term operation of the turbines will be supported by a 20-year service agreement with Vestas

Adrian Dobre, Country Manager Romania, Eurowind Energy, stated:

“We’ve spent over a decade building a strong local team, a growing pipeline, and trusted partnerships. We know what it takes to develop serious, long-term projects in Romania. Frumușița, Vector, and Pecineaga Northeast are important not just because of their scale, but because they mark the next stage in wind energy development in Romania. This milestone is also a reflection of the consistency and transparency of Romania’s energy policies over the past years, and we hope this stability continues, enabling long-term investments and a sustainable future for the sector

We’re proud to move forward with Vestas as a reliable partner — we’ve worked together before, and we know they can deliver on both performance and service.”

    Strengthening presence in Romania

Eurowind Energy has been present in Romania since 2011, with a local team leading project development and operations. The company’s portfolio now includes both operating four solar parks (Hălchiu, Măgurele, Pufești, and Teiuș) and a growing pipeline of wind and hybrid projects across the country, totaling approximately 7.5 GW in various stages of development. By the end of 2025, the company will operate a local portfolio of 124 MW.
