Gebrüder Weiss Romania reports a turnover of 111.7 million euros, up 20 percent in 2024

Gebrüder Weiss Romania, one of the main players in the local transport and logistics solutions market, ends 2024 with a turnover of 111.7 million euros, up approximately 20 percent compared to 2023.
“The evolution of turnover in 2024 reflects the implementation of a strategy focused on adaptability and efficiency. We have allocated significant resources for digitalization and infrastructure development, which allowed us to remain competitive. At the same time, we increased volumes for existing customers and continued to attract new partners, which highlights the relevance of the solutions offered by Gebrüder Weiss Romania in a volatile economic climate. Also, operational flexibility and orientation towards sustainable solutions had a significant impact, and the inauguration of the new hub in Popești Leordeni was a key point of the year,” said Viorel Leca, General Manager of Gebrüder Weiss Romania.
In 2024, the company carried out 1.13 million transports, up 2 percent compared to the previous year (2023: 1.11 million), serving key industries such as retail, oil&gas, telecommunications and construction. The new logistics terminal, opened in Popești Leordeni following an investment of 20 million euros, managed 16 percent of the company’s total transports, namely approx. 185,000. With a built-up area of 19,000 sqm and a total land area of 70,000 sqm, this center optimizes deliveries in Bucharest and the south of the country and manages Home Delivery orders nationwide.
For 2025, Gebrüder Weiss Romania aims to focus on digitalization, sustainability and the consolidation of the logistics infrastructure.
“Nearshoring trends, Romania’s accession to land Schengen and the increased demand for flexible logistics solutions offer us major growth opportunities. We will continue to innovate and strengthen our position as a trusted partner for our customers,” concluded Viorel Leca.
