Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania launched two educational models as part of the “Little Energetician” campaign

Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania (DEER), Bistrița Branch, organized an event to mark the launch of a special project as part of the Little Energetician educational campaign: two original models, presenting the National Energy System and the 110/20kv Transformer Station from Viișoara, initiatives aimed at transforming electricity into a subject that would attract the attention of primary school students.
The creation process involved dozens of hours of work, the models were designed and made entirely by DEER employees from the Bistrița branch and will be used as part of the educational campaign, to explain, in a way that is understandable to the little ones, what energy is, how it is produced, and how it reaches our homes.
“Education is the foundation on which a sustainable future is built. Through the “Little Energetician” project and the special effort of the team in Bistrița, we have managed not only to convey essential information about electricity, green energy and other useful information about energy, but also to inspire students, from an early age, to behave responsibly towards nature, the environment and the responsible use of energy and natural resources. These models are a living proof of the passion and professionalism of our colleagues and a clear expression of DEER’s commitment to early education,” said Mihaela Rodica Suciu, General Manager of Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania.
The “Little Energetician” educational program, which also benefits from an educational brochure, was launched on June 1, 2023 and is aimed at primary school students from the 18 counties in which DEER operates and represents a strategic approach to raising awareness of the role of energy in our lives and to cultivating and promoting responsible behavior regarding energy consumption, for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
