ALRO, one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe, measured by production capacity, has invested 8 million RON in a new aluminium plate cutting saw.

“This investment is yet another step in advancing ALRO’s capabilities to supply highly sophisticated aluminium products to the most demanding industries”, said Marin CILIANU, Chief Executive Officer ALRO. “This enhances not only our supply of flat rolled products but also the efficiency of our overall operations, further improving the material utilisation and reducing CO₂ emissions”, added Marin CILIANU.

The new cutting saw enables ALRO to offer aluminium plates tailored to specific technical requirements, reduce waste and improve efficiency, while supporting the increase in the output of high and very high value-added aluminium products.

The investment is in line with ALRO’s long-term strategy of providing high-performance aluminium solutions and products while improving operational efficiency and sustainability.

The commissioning of this equipment comes after another investment focused on developing ALRO’s product range and capabilities, namely the CUTSMART SYSTEMS facility, inaugurated with a RON 13.7 million investment, as part of ALRO’s strategic transition towards higher-value products and services, offering customers ready-to-use aluminium components instead of raw materials that require additional processing.

By integrating advanced precision cutting technology in the aluminium processing flow, ALRO continues to reduce lead times, optimize metal usage and enhance sustainability across its production chain.
