    Hidroelectrica signs Memorandum of Collaboration with the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest

    Hidroelectrica signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest, one of the most prestigious technical higher education institutions in Romania. The memorandum was signed by Karoly Borbely, CEO of Hidroelectrica, and Radu Sorin Văcăreanu, rector of the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest.

    The partnership aims to create a cooperation framework for the development of joint projects in the field of research and development, promotion of young people, improvement of teaching activity and professional training of human resources, innovative technologies and energy sustainability.

    “Together with the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest, we will build a framework favorable to collaboration between the academic and professional environments, and the impact of this partnership will be felt not only in improving Hidroelectrica’s performance, but also in developing a sustainable research and innovation ecosystem. We are convinced that this is a collaboration for the future of energy in Romania and in the training of a new generation of specialists prepared for the challenges of the global energy industry.” said Karoly Borbely, CEO of Hidroelectrica.

    One of the priority objectives of the partnership is to facilitate students’ access to the real working environment in the energy sector. Students will have the opportunity to get involved in research and development projects in the field of hydropower, energy engineering and to participate in internships within Hidroelectrica. The memorandum also provides for internship programs, scholarships for students and experience exchanges and technical workshops. Training and specialization sessions will also be organized for Hidroelectrica engineers supported by the teaching staff of the Technical University of Construction of Bucharest.
