The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest has signed a cooperation protocol with the European Business Women’s Association (PEFA), through which the two organizations aim to contribute to the development of women entrepreneurship and the support of the digitalization process in the business environment .

The partnership aims to create a collaborative framework to promote women’s access to professional development opportunities in areas such as digitization and cyber security, vital areas for today’s economic competitiveness. Based on this protocol, ICI Bucharest will make specialized training programs, workshop sessions and courses available to PEFA members.

Another goal is to provide support for an education and information society that supports both entrepreneurs and young people in developing solid life skills, encouraging informed decisions and a healthy future.

“This partnership is proof of our commitment to actively contribute to increasing access to digitization and cyber security training for women in business. Together, we support the development of a community adapted to the requirements of modern technology,” said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.

PEFA, through its extensive experience in promoting the empowerment of women in business and representing the interests of its members in national and international professional and employer bodies, will contribute to the realization of joint projects for the consolidation of an ecosystem favorable to women entrepreneurship.

“In a context where digitization is not just an option, but a necessity for businesses that want to be competitive in the global market, collaboration with ICI represents an essential step in our mission to support the business environment and give them access to the newest digital tools”, said Andreea Negru, the President of PEFA.

“This initiative will enable our members to adopt state-of-the-art technology solutions, bridge the digital divide and grow their businesses in a sustainable way. Also, together with ICI, we will start awareness campaigns at the national level, through which we will address essential topics for a sustainable construction and a modern economy,” Andreea Negru added.

The collaboration protocol between ICI Bucharest and PEFA represents an important stage in supporting the digitalization of the business environment and in promoting female entrepreneurship. Through this initiative, both organizations aim to contribute to strengthening an inclusive and competitive economic environment based on digital skills and innovation.

The partnership will open up new opportunities for women entrepreneurs, supporting them in acquiring essential skills in the digital age and thus promoting sustainable business development.
