Merger complete: Fortech to officially operate in Romania as GlobalLogic

Fortech, one of Romania’s largest leading digital engineering companies, announced the merger completion with GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company and digital engineering leader, now officially becoming GlobalLogic Romania.

As a result of this merger, Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, will operate in Romania as GlobalLogic, and the brand integration will be completed in the following period. In accordance with the terms of the definitive agreement signed in November 2022, GlobalLogic will finalize the complete integration of Fortech into the GlobalLogic group of companies over the course of the next few months.

This acquisition further strengthens the GlobalLogic presence in Europe, positioning the company as a high-performance tech leader in the Romanian tech market with more than 1200 team members (77% Mid, Senior & Expert roles) and operations in 5 locations in Romania (Cluj-Napoca, Oradea, Brasov, Iasi, and Bucharest). From last year’s completed transaction to date, the end-to-end software services and experienced engineers of Fortech have been and continue to enhance GlobalLogic’s technical abilities. Additionally, GlobalLogic Romania SRL complements GlobalLogic’s industry-focused solutions, which include frameworks supporting the automotive, healthcare, industrial manufacturing, media & communications, and financial software sectors.

Following a period of strategic realignment and merging departments, roles, and reporting structures, in connection with the closing of the transaction, the Delivery organization in Romania will be formalized further under a Group Delivery Unit structure led by Călin Văduva, former CEO of Fortech, a GlobalLogic company, in the capacity of the Group Delivery Unit (GDU) Head in GlobalLogic. This formation will be the 4th Group Delivery Unit in the EMEA Region, and it’s expected to broaden organization development, setting the proper stage for Romania to become an important growth vector for GlobalLogic in the EMEA Region.
