Ilie Nastase and Ciprian Marica announce the opening of the newest, innovative, and sustainable sports club in Bucharest, which supports Romanian tennis and football through an investment of 20 million RON. Celebrating the iconic careers of the two champions, the sports club is establishing unique academies in the country, with the mission of creating space for learning and growth for future leaders in sports.

Located in the center of Bucharest, towards the northern part of the capital, Nastase & Marica Sports Club provides football, tennis and padel courts aligned to international FIFA standards, thus building an ultra-modern space where the country’s future athletes will grow. The new sports club aims to become a benchmark in terms of sports complexes, providing secure locker rooms with state-of-the-art technology, modernized showers, sauna, and sanitary facilities, as well as medical and first aid stations.

We are talking about 14 tennis courts and 4 football courts (one 100x64m and one 22x44m), covered and heated in the cold season and very well ventilated and shaded in the warm season, with spacious stands, which turns the sports club into a suitable place both for sports competitions, training or just for diversion and friendly games between football fans.

Moreover, Nastase & Marica Sports Club is the result of the decision to improve and optimize the former Voința Stadium, through the NGO “Fundația pentru tenis Ilie Nastase”, becoming today a viable and successful business, thanks to the long-term vision of the two former Romanian athletes. Beyond the renovation of the old stadium, the sports club is focusing on sustainability, by installing photovoltaic panels for its own consumption of green electricity.

“I have made many contributions to the Romanian sports heritage throughout my career, but I think the most valuable is to leave something to the generations that come after me. This desire has materialized in the sports club that we have just opened, which will help the talented in tennis and football to take their passion to the performance level. Together with Ciprian Marica, an accomplished footballer, we have built this truly competitive place in terms of innovation, design, and conditions.” – says Ilie Nastase, former Romanian tennis player, world number 1.

The partnership with Ilie Nastase came naturally because of the love for sports and for the careers that polished us as athletes, as people, but also as businessmen. This sports club reflects our vision of Romanian sport, but also of the conditions we must provide for beginners to be able to make their way either in tennis or football. We are preparing many other opportunities, such as scholarships for young athletes, but we will let you know. at the right moment.” – says Ciprian Marca, former striker of the Romanian national football team, current businessman

Nastase & Marica Sports Club will officially open its doors, starting on October 5, 2023. Reservations can be made online, through the form available on the website https://nastase-marica.ro. You can also get to know the coaches available within the sports club on the same site.
