    Leroy Merlin appoints Mathieu Bauduin as new CEO

    Leroy Merlin Romania, a retailer specialized in construction, decoration and gardening, will have a new CEO starting on June 23. Mathieu Bauduin, currently North-East Regional Director within the company, will take over the management of the retailer from Frédéric Lamy, the CEO of Leroy Merlin Romania for the past 9 years.

    Mathieu Bauduin (36) has been living in Romania since the summer of last year, when he took over the position of North – East Regional Director within Leroy Merlin Romania, being responsible for the development and coordination of stores in Iași, Suceava, Bacău, Ploiești, Târgoviște and Constanța.

    Mathieu Bauduin, a former professional athlete, began his career in retail with an internship program during an international trade master held at Auchan Le Havre, France, retailer part of the ADEO group, alongside Leroy Merlin. He continued his journey with Auchan for 4 years, as TV Sales Manager, respectively Auchan Drive Manager, for another 3 years. In 2014, he joined Leroy Merlin France, where he started as a store sector manager and gradually evolved from Store Director in 2018 to Regional Director in 2021, last year coming to Romania to be Regional Director Northeast.
