    Aon Romania appoints Eugen Anicescu as new General Director

    Aon, one of the global leaders in the insurance brokers market, announces the new leadership of the Romanian branch. Eugen Anicescu takes over the General Director position subject to his mandate validation by the Financial Supervisory Authority Council (ASF).

    Eugen Anicescu has expertise of over 22 years in the corporate insurance industry earned in leadership positions within top international players in commercial and general insurance solutions for businesses, risk management consulting, data and information about companies, financial rating, and receivables management.

    In the last 15 years, Eugen Anicescu has been active within Coface Romania as General Manager, Commercial Director, and Director of the Trade Credit Division. Previously he led the Reinsurance Division of Generali Romania.

    “As any other sector of the financial services industry, the insurance field needs to strategically adapt to the contemporary business environment, characterized by constantly changing risks, while focusing on innovation and excellence in operations. I am opening a new chapter with Aon Romania, and the expertise acquired in the corporate environment, along with the Aon Group competencies, complemented by the flexibility and professionalism of the local team, will be the basis for developing a solid partnership with the Romanian companies”, stated Eugen Anicescu.
