OSCAR Downstream celebrates 20 years of activity in the oil industry

    Published on

This month marks 20 years since the establishment of OSCAR, the largest independent company in the oil industry in Romania, with 100% Romanian capital.
In the last five years, the company with over 450 employees has made total investments of 50 million euros.
“Every person, regardless of his position in the company, has an important role in its functional ensemble. That is why our attention is directed with respect and care towards each of them. We have continuously invested in recent years to develop and grow a solid team, consolidate the experience gained and build an infrastructure for the future,” says the company’s shareholder, Alin Niculae.

In the long run, OSCAR’s goal is to maintain the flexibility and adaptability of the business to an increasingly dynamic market, both B2B and B2C, to expand the business by putting the customer first.

In 2004, for the first time in Romania, OSCAR introduced the concept of enclosure stations, under the DIESELpoint brand. An integrated concept of services and products that offers its own control of fuel consumption, fast food and maintenance of the on-site station.
In 2007, OSCAR purchased its first tanker, with the development of an integrated supply chain in mind to ensure optimal national coverage and complete control for OSCAR over delivery times and product quality.
In 2010, OSCAR opened the first refueling station exclusively for companies, under the DIESELpoint Access brand, a concept designed as a complement to the refueling solution through on-premises stations, thus providing access to a national network.
In 2017, OSCAR opened the first RO station, reaching today 49 partner stations and a total of 80 filling stations in the OSCAR network. All 80 stations benefit from the OSCAR integrated logistics chain and the support provided by the OSCAR team.
