Andreea Mihnea, FirstBank: “Leaders are investing more time and energy in communicating with employees”

“In the FirstBank territorial network, our employees come to the office, we are in a process of digitization. Things are different at the HQ, where we have more space to move, and we work in a hybrid system. About 20-30% of colleagues come to the office during a month. The pandemic made us think about the way we communicate with employees and rearrange the working spaces according to this communication. We transformed an entire floor into a more versatile space, dedicated to employees,” Andreea Mihnea, Chief People Officer, FirstBank said during “Workplace of the Future” organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

Leaders have become closer to the people. The meeting space has not been as formal as before. Some barriers in the context of work have disappeared. Leaders are investing more time and energy in communicating with employees, and this has improved the engagement rate.

The workspace has acquired other values, we have redesigned certain spaces. We reuse the spaces in a more creative and pleasant way for the employees.”
