    RCS & RDS adopts Nagra cardless technology to protect TV content in Romania

    Nagra, part of the Kudelski Group, the leading independent provider of content protection services and multiscreen solutions, and Digi | RCS & RDS, a leader in the pay-TV market in Romania and Hungary, announced the implementation of the Nagra cardless technology (without a physical card) in a CAM by SmarDTV, in the Digi pay-TV networks in the two countries.

    “By introducing new modules without a card, we will be able to offer our subscribers to pay-tv services a state-of-the-art solution that allows maintaining the service at the most accessible price on the market, increasing the quality of access to pay-tv content,” said Valentin Popoviciu , Vice President of the DIGI Board of Directors | RCS & RDS. “We are pleased with the collaboration with NAGRA, which aims to provide subscribers with the latest ways to protect content broadcast through systems without a physical card,” he added.
