Alexandrion Group Makes a New Investment in the Development of Romania’s Single Malt Category Through the Launch of Single Malt Community

    Published on

Alexandrion Group, Romania’s leading producer and distributor of spirits and wines and the country’s only single malt whisky producer, part of the Nawaf Salameh Family Office, announces the launch of Single Malt Community, a premium platform dedicated to those who wish to discover, understand and explore the world of single malt whisky in greater depth.

Created at the intersection of education, experience and community, the platform aims to become the leading destination for consumers interested in one of the most complex and highly regarded categories in the world of spirits. Through specialized content, curated events and access to authentic expertise, Single Malt Community offers a new way to engage with the category in a setting built around knowledge and meaningful experiences.

“Alexandrion Group paved the way for the single malt category in Romania with the launch of Carpathian Single Malt Whisky. With this pioneering role comes a responsibility: to contribute to the development of the category, educate the market and create opportunities for consumers to discover and understand the complexity and diversity of the single malt world. Through the launch of Single Malt Community, we are embracing this responsibility for the long term and investing in the creation of an informed, passionate and engaged community connected to the very best experiences this category has to offer,” said Antonio Salameh, Chairman of Alexandrion Group.

    A Community Built Around Discovery

Single Malt Community brings together enthusiasts, connoisseurs and consumers who are just beginning their journey into the world of single malt whisky. The platform will feature editorial and video content, tastings, masterclasses, expert-led discussions and exclusive experiences designed to deepen knowledge and appreciation of the category.

More than a digital platform, Single Malt Community is an ecosystem that combines online engagement with offline experiences, creating authentic opportunities for learning, exploration and interaction.

The community will showcase whisky brands from Alexandrion Group’s portfolio:

    • Carpathian Single Malt Whisky
    • AR Single Malt Whisky
    • Highland Peak Single Malt Whisky
    • Highland Mountain Blended Malt Scotch Whisky

    Expertise, Education and Authentic Experiences

The platform’s development and content are supported by industry specialists who contribute, each from their own perspective, to building a relevant and credible experience for the community.

Allan Anderson, Master Distiller and Whisky Director of Alexandrion Group, brings more than three decades of whisky expertise and offers unique insight into the processes that shape the character of a single malt whisky.

“Single malt whisky is one of the most diverse and fascinating categories in the world of spirits. Every expression tells a story of origin, maturation and craftsmanship. Through Single Malt Community, we want to help people discover this complexity and understand what lies behind every glass. The more you understand, the more rewarding the experience becomes,” said Allan Anderson.

Alongside him, Dragoș Mateescu, Whisky Specialist, contributes to the development of the platform’s educational component, transforming complex information into an engaging and accessible experience for consumers. Dragoș will also host guided single malt tastings across Romania.

The experiential dimension of the project is further enhanced by Virgil Ianțu, JA.AR Brand Ambassador and host of Single Malt Community events, who will facilitate dialogue between experts and the community while helping create an open, authentic and accessible environment for learning and discovery.

More information about Single Malt Community is available at www.singlemaltcommunity.com.

All brands featured on the platform are available through major retail chains and via Alexandrion Group’s e-shop www.iconicdrinks.shop.
