    Published on

Romanian courier company SAMEDAY continues its development strategy by signing the contract to acquire Cargus. The acquisition is pending approval by the relevant merger control and foreign investment authorities and will be finalized once the necessary approvals have been obtained.

Through this transaction, SAMEDAY aims to improve its operational capacity and logistic infrastructure and to improve the quality of its services to better meet customers’ needs.

“I firmly believe that this transaction will pave the way for sustained growth for customers and partners and create real professional development opportunities for colleagues in both local and international teams. The result we expect, following the approval of the acquisition by the relevant authorities and the finalization of the transaction, is an improved customer offering, better positioned to deliver efficient solutions and innovation to support the development of e-commerce and courier services.” said Lucian Baltaru, CEO SAMEDAY Group.

“We welcome this natural step in our company’s journey as it means more opportunities to invest in our business and people to continue improving services we provide to our customers across Central and Eastern Europe. We are excited to embark on this new chapter together with SAMEDAY and help build one of the leading logistics companies in the region.” said Belgin Bactali, CEO Cargus.
