Delgaz Grid to invest 46 million lei to modernize gas networks in Mureș County in 2025

Delgaz Grid, the natural gas and electricity distribution company of the E.ON Group in Romania, will carry out 25 investment projects this year in Mureș County, with a total value of approximately 46 million lei (9 million euros).
The investment works aim to modernize gas networks and are taking place in several localities, including: Căpușu de Câmpie (15.6 km), Chibed (13.6 km), Viforoasa (8 km), Vălureni (7 km), Sântana de Mureș (6.6 km), Sângeorgiu de Mureș (6.5 km), and Ranta and Sântu, each by 5 km. As a result of the investments, the performance of the networks will be increased, as well as the quality of distribution services.
Last year, in Mureș, the gas network was modernized over a length of over 70 km (67 km by replacing pipes and branches and 3.6 km by cathodic protection). The largest investments were made in Reghin (15 km), Corunca (8 km), Miercurea Niraj (5 km), and Șăușa, Porumbeni, Pădureni and Bord, each around 4 km.
Also, during this period, the gas network was extended by over four kilometers and five natural gas regulation and metering stations were modernized, the total value of investments in the county reaching 29 million lei (5.7 million euros).
In 2024, Delgaz Grid invested over 356 million lei (72 million euros) in the distribution of natural gas in the counties in the area of activity.
Investments of over 560 million lei (111 million euros) are planned for the current year. Natural gas pipelines and connections will be modernized over a length of 450 km.
