2018-05-15 12:43:02

Service revenues for the full year 2017/2018 reached 723.6 million Euro, increasing by 2.5 per cent, compared to last year, on an organic basis.

Vodafone Romania had 9.6 million total customers at March 31, 2018, representing an increase of 2.1 per cent as compared to last year. Out of the total number of customers, 8.9 million were mobile customers.

Mobile postpaid customers represented 41 per cent, and prepaid customers 59 per cent of the total mobile base. Mobile postpaid base as a percentage of total mobile base increased by 0.3 percentage points as compared to last year.
Data usage increased more than 80 per cent for the year ended March 31s, 2018, compared to last year.

Murielle Lorilloux, CEO Vodafone Romania, stated: "During the last financial year we worked on our key priorities - big data, expanding into home and digitalization. Our users benefited from enriched propositions, improved customer experience across all touchpoints and continuous investment into our network, which led to speed and quality supremacy. Introducing our users to Supernet 4.5G represented a milestone for the entire market and we have seen the number of 4.5G compatible devices increasing monthly since its launch. Last week, we announced our intention to acquire UPC Romania, subject to regulatory approval, which will accelerate our strategy to transform Vodafone Romania into a fully converged communications company. The combined business will be able to deliver customers a greater choice of products, services and commercial offers, and will be able to make more investments that enhance the digital infrastructure in Romania."
