InterContinental Bucharest launches free to use smartphones for all hotel guests

InterContinental Bucharest launched mobile travel solution "handy", a free-to-use smartphone for hotel guests during their stay, inside or outside the hotel.

Guests who stay at InterContinental Bucharest will enjoy the use of "handy" at no cost. Visitors will be able to stay connected with free local and international calls, free internet access, speed dialling to hotel services, as well as access to local emergency services and essential travel information. Travelers can also explore customized city guides, to discover new experiences anytime, anywhere.

"Our aim is to improve the guests' connectivity, satisfaction and to offer a tool to easy discover the essential attractions and entertainment options in Bucharest," said Lior Bebera, General Manager of InterContinental Bucharest. " I hope it will be welcomed by meeting planners as an instant communication tool with their delegates no matter if they are in the hotel or outside, as well as by those guests visiting our city for leisure, to better know where to eat, what to visit and to experience during their stay."

With an occupancy estimated to 80 per cent, InterContinental Bucharest expects to offer this innovative option to almost 75.000 guests.
