Electrica registered a net profit of 466 million RON in the first nine months
Electrica Group, leader in the distribution and supply of electricity in Romania, reached a consolidated net profit of 466 million RON in Q3 2016 (103 million Euro), up by 9 per cent compared to the first nine months of last year. 2016-11-16 13:35:46
The most significant net profit growth, 13 per cent respectively, compared to the first nine months of 2015, is the one attributable to Electricas shareholders. This increase was generated mainly by the gain on the deconsolidation of Societatea Servicii Energetice Moldova, resulting from measures for group structure optimization. Operating profit (EBIT) for this period was 556.7 million RON (123 million Euro), 12 per cent higher than the same period of last year. During the same period, Electrica Group recorded a 10 per cent increase in EBITDA, reaching 838 million RON (186.2 million Euro).
The operating revenues in the first nine months of this year increased by 60 million RON (13.3 million Euro), namely 1.4 per cent over the same period in 2015, to 4,192.3 million RON (931 million Euro), in the context of the restructuring measures implemented. Revenue from the electricity supply segment decreased by 1.2 per cent, because of the decrease in average sale price by 6.9 per cent, compared to the first nine months of 2015.
