KMG International to invest 5.6 million Euro in fuel delivery automation
In late November, KMG International, the group that owns Rompetrol Rafinare, announced that until 2018 it will allocate 5.6 million Euro (six million USD) for the modernization and automation of loading and unloading petrol systems from deposits held internally, but also for the refinery terminals of Petromidia Navodari 2015-12-06 13:28:20 - From the Print Edition
"The project represents part of the measures taken by the group in order to consolidate and enhance the activities of the supply chain in Romania and it is part of the vast program launched in 2013 named ′Change for Good′, the aim of which is to streamline and optimize the entire stream of operations specific to refinery activities like petrochemical one, trading - Supply chain, retail - marketing, upstream - industrial services," said Zhanat Tussupbekov, CEO of KMG International, quoted by Ziarul Financiar. "Its implementation will ensure a 30 per cent decrease in the time for loading and unloading fuel, the automation during the verification process and issuance of documents, but will also reduce losses and improve products traceability and real-time inventory management."
The group recently completed a pilot project at the Mogosoaia oil depot, operated by Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of KMG International in Romania. Initiated in 2014, it ensures a transparency in the transfer of fuel from the tanks into the warehouse tankers partners, automating the collection and generation of data and documents related to the supply, but also the optimization of the program load times.
