Enel Romania makes new appointments at the lead of procurement and regulatory departments

Enel Romania appointed Cosmin Trofin as Regulatory Director while the position of Procurement Director, previously occupied by Trofin, was took over by Giovanni de Vita.

As Regulatory Director, Cosmin Trofin, who led the procurement department of Enel for 5 years, will lead a team of 15 people, having as main objective defining, representing and promoting the company's position on regulatory and antitrust issues. Also, he will be responsible of identifying the regulatory trend for the assessment of the economic and financial impact of regulation on local business lines; and managing regulatory and antitrust issues and proceedings towards interested relevant stakeholders, addressing and monitoring local business lines compliance and defining the optimal local strategy. The Regulatory Director position was previously occupied, ad interim by Toni Volpe, Country Manager of Enel Romania.

Prior to joining Enel, Cosmin Trofin has gained a vast experience in acquisitions and procurement in other large multinational companies from energy, food & drinks segments. Trofin holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Institute of Polytechnics, Bucharest – Faculty of Mechanics.

Giovanni De Vita, with over 20 years of experience in the energy field, is the new Procurement Director. He joined Enel in 1996 and he had several roles in the Italian Distribution Division and in the International Division of Enel Group. In February 2012, he joined the Enel Distributie team in Romania where he served as Director of Performance Management and, since March 2014 as Director of Quality, Environment & Process Improvement. As Procurement Director, he will be leading a team of 24 people and he will play a key role in purchasing activities for all Enel subsidiaries in Romania. De Vita holds an MBA from LUISS Business School and a bachelor's degree in engineering from ′Federico II′ University in Napoli. He is also entitled to teach electrotechnics in Italy.
