Lars Wiechen joins Deloitte Romania as partner

Lars Wiechen has joined Deloitte Romania as a Partner in Financial Advisory Services. From this position, Lars is primarily responsible for leading the Valuation and Modelling service line in Romania.

"In the current business environment leading businesses acknowledge the necessity for transparent and reliable valuations and business models to support corporate transactions, to meet regulatory and accounting requirements, to obtain financing or to settle commercial disputes. Lars has already been very successful in performing high profile valuations and designing business models for various companies and his expertise will be beneficial to both clients and team."

Lars will be based in Bucharest and will not only be strengthening the Romanian and regional practice with his extensive advisory skills in the Valuation & Modelling area but also Deloitte Romania's German desk initiative.

With more than 13 years of valuation experience in Big4 in Romania and Germany, Lars has been involved in the majority of top transactions in the Romanian market providing valuations for either acquisition or financial reporting purposes.

Within his experience of nine years in Romania, Lars has contributed significantly to the development of the Romanian valuation profession being an accredited member of the National Association of Authorised Romanian Valuers (ANEVAR) and member of its commission for verification and monitoring.

He holds a master degree in business administration from the University of Frankfurt am Main/Germany and graduated in bank business management at Deutsche Bank Hannover / Germany. Lars is a Registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois/USA, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and designated Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is also a member of the Forensic and Valuation Services section (FVS) of the AICPA, Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Recognized European Valuer (REV).
