Carrefour opens three proximity units at Bistrita Nasaud
The French retailer announced it expands the proximity network in Romania with three Express units and one Contact unit to be opened in Bistrita-Nasaud, operated in franchise. 2014-09-02 12:48:24
Following the openings, Carrefour reaches 47 Express units in Romania, out of which 10 units have been opened in Brasov, three units in Giurgiu and Bistrita each, 29 in Bucharest and Ilfov and one unit at Galati. Currently, Carrefour operates 4 retail formats, with a total of 159 stores: 25 hypermarkets, 77 supermarkets, over 60 proximity Express stores and online store. Carrefour Romania has more than 1,500 private label products on the local market, which stands for around 13 percent of the company total turnover.
Recently, Carrefour announced the launch of Supeco brand that is currently present in Spain with four shops and offers lower price categories, focusing on fresh and FMCG products, sold within a retail area of 1.500 sqm and 2.000 sqm shops, according to data delivered by the company.
