Central Bank: FDI of 1.2 bln Euro in H1 2014, 10 per cent less y-o-y comparison
Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Romania totalled almost 1.2 billion Euro in H1 2014, by 10.3 per cent below the level in the same period of last year, reads a National Bank of Romania release. 2014-08-14 17:33:18
Non-residents direct investments in Romania amounted to 1.192 billion Euro (down by 10.3 per cent from January-June 2013), of which capital interests (including reinvested profit) totaled 1.114 billion Euro, and intra-group loans of -78 million Euro, according to BNR release.
The decrease in FDI compared to the same period of last year comes after five consecutive months of increase, with the highest growth rates having been recorded in February (+35.6 per cent, January-February 2014 compared to January-February 2013, and March (+ 30.1 per cent January-March 2014 from January-March 2013), according to the BNR data.
