AFI Europe Romania completed the leasing of the first three office buildings in the AFI Park project with the signing of a 6,000 sqm pre-lease agreement in AFI Park 3 with TELUS International Europe, part of Telus International, a provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and contact center solutions to clients around the world.

Telus International Europe has leased 5 floors in AFI Park 3 for a period of 5 years.

"We are very happy to welcome a multinational company such as TELUS International in AFI Park. The signing of this lease agreement demonstrates the intention of a large BPO to invest in upgrading their office spaces for the benefit of their employees, while taking under consideration the possibility of future expansion within the Park. Today, in order to attract the most valuable employees, companies focus on securing an excellent office location, easily accessible by metro, tram and private cars and surrounded by services and amenities, such as AFI Park, which is served by AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping mall. In addition, due to its superior technical specifications, which correspond to the needs of multinational companies, AFI Park continues to grow as the major IT&C HUB in Bucharest," said David Hay, CEO, AFI Europe Romania.

"At Telus International, our caring culture and our commitment to putting customers first helps us enable customer experience innovation. The AFI Park, with state of the art offices in the proximity of the largest mall in Romania, provides a convenient business environment. Offices in AFI Park not only fit our unique culture, it will also help us maintain high team member engagement, differentiating us in the Romanian market as an employer who provides the best work environment and as a top BPO provider with a world class delivery hub," said Yann Bidan, Country Manager, TELUS International Romania.

"Telus decision to expand its operations into AFI Park represents not only proof of the high quality of the project, but also a massive vote of confidence for the increasing attractiveness of our local market as "the place to be" for large BPOs across the Globe. Romania ranks among the top favorite outsourcing & offshoring destinations in the CEE; Bucharest, specifically, has been rapidly expanding its O&O occupier base between 2010 and 2013. However, such a positive evolution could not have taken place without the efforts of well-reputed developers, such as AFI Europe, to build a consistent, high-quality, class A office stock", stated George Didoiu, Senior Associate within the Office Agency of Colliers International, the consultant who mediated the lease on behalf of Telus International Europe.

The construction of AFI Park 3 began in June 2013 and the building is planned to be delivered to its tenants at the end of this year. AFI Europe has previously signed a pre-lease agreement with British held IT Company Endava Romania for four floors in the third building of AFI Park with a secured option for additional spaces to be leased according to Endava expansion plans.

Following this recent agreement with Telus International, with the entire AFI Park 2 occupied by Electronic Arts and with AFI Park 1 fully leased, AFI Park managed to achieve a 100 per cent occupancy rate for the office spaces in the first 3 buildings.

In April this year AFI Europe commenced construction of AFI Park 4&5, the 4th phase of the award winning office project, targeted to be finalized in October 2015.

AFI Park 4&5 is constructed as one building served by two lobbies. The building shall total GLA of 32,000 sqm spread over 12 floors of offices served by 2 underground parking levels and Ground floor for providing commercial spaces. The building shall offer a floor plate of 3,000 sqm.
