Romania gets EUR 8 million for energy efficiency from Norway, Island and Liechtenstein
The three countries are granting funds worth EUR 8 million to finance Romanian projects for energy efficiency with the gold to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases. 2014-03-11 11:51:13
According to a release of Ministry of Economy, Norway, Island and Liechtenstein signed with Romania a memorandum following which the Ministry becomes the program operator for financings agreed under the Financial Mechanism (MF) for SEE region for energy efficiency projects, approved in October 2013.
The Ministry also announced the opening of call session for energy efficiency projects financed through SEE grants, to be run between March 10 and May 9.
The objective for these projects is to improve the energy efficiency in industry, especially for those industries generating high levels of pollutions and energy consumption. The total value of this program is EUR 9.41 million, out of which EUR 1.41 million represents the state contribution.
