IT consultancy arm of Porsche group opens office at Cluj

German IT consultancy company Mieschke Hofman und Partner (MHP), part of Porsche group announced it opened an office in Cluj-Napoca, hiring a stuff of 40 professionals specializing in IT and economic studies.

A company release reads that the new office will deliver complex IT solutions and services to clients all over the world. The 40 employer team will be expanded with graduates of IT and economic studies. According to Ralf Hofmann, general manager of MHP, the local work force is generous and provides good language skills of German and English.

Germany-based MHP employs 950 people and runs operations in Switzerland, USA and China. It achieved a turnover of EUR 133.3 million in 2013.
Also, Cluj saw a second investment lately, with Bosch investment of EUR 77 million in the R&D center opened last year. The official launching will be performed this year in May.

The German company runs centers at Bucharest, Blaj, Cluj and Timisoara. At the beginning of 2013, the company numbered 1.400 employees and plans to achieve over 2.000 by yearend.

In June this year, Bosch announced it would open new production units in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca and Blaj, in which it will invest up to EUR 120 million by the end of the year. The units will employ around 600 people. The production unit in Blaj is to be opened on June 8, while the factory in Cluj-Napoca is scheduled to begin operating in the last quarter of this year. With an area of 50,000 square meters, the production unit in Blaj will employ another 300 people by the end of the year, reaching a total of about 900 workers.
