ALD Automotive and Wheels enter into global framework agreement with MSD

The ALD Automotive Group and Wheels, Inc. signed a new Global Framework Agreement (GFA) with Merck Sharp&Dohme Corp. (MSD), known as Merck in the United States and Canada, on 1st of September 2013. The agreement covers 33 countries and almost 15,000 vehicles for MSD and its affiliates, representing more than half of the MSD and its affiliates current total worldwide fleet.

The agreement demonstrates the ongoing commitment of the ALD Automotive Group and Wheels, Inc. to develop Global Fleet Solutions for MSD.

These solutions include, but are not limited to: consolidating global account governance; developing a reporting framework to provide a global fleet insight; and examining potential Fleet Management solutions in new territories and emerging markets. The agreement is in effect until 30th June 2014.

The ALD Automotive Group and Wheels, Inc. welcome the signing of this Global Framework Agreement as a reaffirmation of the work which has been and continues to be done for MSD and its affiliates on a global basis, as well as the strength of the ALD / Wheels global partnership in delivering value to their mutual clients.

Operational in Romania since 2005, ALD Automotive is the subsidiary of BRD – Groupe Societe Generale and the ALD Automotive group. The company provides full service operational leasing by ensuring financing and a complete range of management services for vehicle fleets. ALD Automotive is certified by SRAC for the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2005 standards.
