Damen Galati: late 2011 sees full-booking after slow 2010

The financial crisis had a great impact on shipbuilding in 2010, causing Dutch shipyard Damen from Galati a decrease of 28 per cent in turnover from 110 million in 2009 to 80 million Euro.
“We were able to address this situation and not only reduce costs, but improve our performance - 2011 has started with losses, but is expected to show some increase in turnover,” says Flemming Soerensen, general manager of Damen Galati.
