Enel wants to invest 630 million Euro by 2019

In late November, 630 million Euro was announced to be invested by the Italian-based company Enel by 2019 into energy distribution networks in Romania

2015-12-06 13:28:59 - From the Print Edition

The company′s aim is to increase its customer base from 2.7 million to 2.9 million consumers. "Through the investment we have made in green energy we have achieved our targets in terms of the number of green certificates," said Francesco Starace, CEO of Enel group. "We don't want to create an excess. I would say that we are in balance and we are satisfied with what we have at the moment." Also, according to Starace, he believes that the results won't be visible sooner than 2017.
Beyond the development projects, a hot topic related to Enel's activities is the case with the Romanian state process, in which the Italians were called to 521 million Euro for the minority stake that it holds in the former Electrica Muntenia Sud. Enel is the largest private energy distributor in Romania, featured in three regions as South Muntenia, Dobrogea and Banat.
