The Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) reported that at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, the Romanian chief diplomat reiterated firm support for Ukraine′s sovereignty and territorial unity in accordance with internationally recognised borders, and reaffirmed political and operational support for Ukraine. Aurescu reviewed the practical support extended by Romania to Ukraine in terms of medical assistance to Ukrainian troops wounded in conflict as well as the demarches of Romania as a leading nation of the NATO-Ukraine Trust Fund on Cyber Defence, according to news published by Agerpres. At the same time, the minister mentioned Romania′s readiness to provide support and assistance for Ukraine′s achieving its objectives under the annual NATO-Ukraine cooperation programme for 2015. Aurescu underscored the need for Ukraine to continue its progress with defence and security reforms, rule of law and the observance of the rights of national minorities.
