Fondul Proprietatea announces meeting dedicated to retail shareholders
Franklin Templeton Investment Management Ltd. United Kingdom Bucharest Branch, the sole administrator and fund manager of Fondul Proprietatea, organized today the Retail Investor Day, the first of a series of regular meetings with individual shareholders. 2014-11-13 15:01:59
The event was an opportunity to provide retail shareholders with updated information on the activities and developments of the Fund and its portfolio companies, outside the formal setting of the general shareholders meetings. The status of the upcoming secondary listing of Fondul Proprietatea on the London Stock Exchange, the Fund's cash distribution policy and buyback programmes, performance and prospects of portfolio companies were among the topics presented and discussed in an interactive way. The event included also an educational module related to equity markets presented by Franklin Templeton Academy.
Greg Konieczny, Fund Manager of Fondul Proprietatea, commented: "The meetings with retail investors are reflective of our proactive and transparent communication policy regarding our mandate to manage the Fund and the actions undertaken to create value for all our shareholders. Regular communication, openness, and transparency with all shareholders are key values for us."
Regular meetings with retail shareholders are intended to complement ordinary and extraordinary general shareholder meetings, as well as other communication means already available to all investors in Fondul Proprietatea, including periodic letters to shareholders, up-to-date information available on the Fund's website, as well as specialized investor relations and client service departments dealing on a permanent basis with questions from the Fund's shareholders and potential investors. Communication between the Fund Manager and investors remains a top priority as we aim to ensure that investors are informed about the latest developments and obtain their feedback as we continue to focus on maximising shareholder value.
