June 2013 - From the Print Edition
Chinese company Lightway Solar plans to invest EUR 76 million to develop a 50 MW solar park in Prundu, Giurgiu county, according to PV Magazine. About 30 percent of the investment will be provided by the company, the rest by bank loans. The company says that it has obtained the approval of the main economic planning body in China (the Development and Reform Commission, NDRC) for this investment. "We are developing our first investment in Romania, where the government has introduced a series of policies in the photovoltaic field," said Wei Zhen, the general manager of Lightway Germany. "Lightway will cooperate with parent company investors in order to gain their support for this project."
