Mr Catalin Parvu is the new executive of Piraeus Bank Romania. His predecessor, Mr Stavros Lekkakos, has become deputy managing director for the executive committee of Piraeus Bank Group. Mr Parvu it is also the president of the Romanian Anti-Card Fraud Forum. Previously, Mr Parvu was general director of retail banking and operations at Piraeus Bank Romania.

Mr Frank Hajdinjak, appointed as general director of E.ON Gaz Romania last March, has been appointed as president of the power group’s administrative council. At the same time, Mr Mark-Daniel Buck, general director E.ON Gaz Distribution Romania, has become the president of its administrative council.

Friesland Foods Romania has appointed Mr Ian Gearing as its new director general. Previously the UK-born Gearing was director general with the Dutch-owned Friesland in Thailand and Malaysia.

Mr Mircea Neagu has been appointed managing director of IT services and solutions provider Ness Romania. He joined Ness Romania nearly a year ago, after ten years with HP Romania in senior management.

Mr Richard Moat, the CEO of Orange Romania, has been appointed the new president of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC). FIC has also two new vice presidents in Mr Patrick Gelin, president and general manager of BRD - Groupe Societe General and Marian Gheorghe, the CEO of Petrom and a tresurer in Gilbert Wood, CEO of local law firm Hall, Dickler. The primary objective of the FIC is to foster dialogue between Government policy makers and business and to support the process of Romania’s adjustment to EU membership.
Mr Ion Pargaru has been appointed the new president of Bucharest Chamber of Commerce (CCIB). Previously Mr Pargaru was director of the Government’s External Commerce Department and is currently a professor at the Politehnica University Bucharest and Titu Maiorescu University.

Mr Catalin Gavra, 39, has been appointed as general director for TiriacAuto. Gavra has a 14 years experience working for Tiriac Group and his previous position was general director for Romcar, the representative of Ford in Romania.

Mr Gabriel Bondarenco has been appointed as general director of Romcar. Mr Bondarenco was previously financial director for Romcar.
